Call for Evidence

Creativity should be a part of every young person’s life and is integral to their education and development. The arts can be uniquely transformative, helping young people find their identities and passions, boosting mental health and wellbeing, and providing technical and transferable skills for employment.

The Young Creatives Commission will put forward an ambitious programme of recommendations to widen the provision and opportunities for all young people to participate in arts and culture and to pursue careers in the creative industries, particularly those young people from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds.

We want to hear from you to inform our understanding of the problems, the potential solutions, the perspectives of young people, and the examples of good practice. Your views and insights will help us shape recommendations, identify experts, and spotlight places already building creative opportunities for young people.

How to submit

This call for evidence form is divided into six sections, with 20 main questions in total, plus a short section about you.

You do not need to answer every question. Please respond to the sections and questions most relevant to your experience, knowledge, or perspective. Some questions may overlap, so feel free to draw on the same examples where helpful.

The form includes a mix of open text questions and space to share additional evidence or reflections. You can write as much or as little as you feel is appropriate.

As the form is quite detailed, we recommend setting aside some time to complete it in one go. However, your progress is saved automatically, as long as you return using the same browser and device and do not clear your cookies.

Once submitted, your evidence will help inform the Commission’s analysis and recommendations.

The deadline for submitting evidence is 12th April 2026. Please ensure you have submitted this form by then.
